That takes serious dedication to keep something on the road that hasn’t had any factory support in almost 30 years and that wasn’t terribly easy to get serviced even when new.
Something about it makes it seem like it isn’t owned by an enthusiast, either. Can’t put my finger on it, but it may just be used as an ordinary car.

No Oppo would let their headlights get like that.

I can’t imagine who would actually service this now. I mean you could still get parts, but I imagine not easily at all.
It does seem like it's being treated as an ordinary car, which leaves me wondering how it's still going.

Unless we’re to believe the car has just been shockingly reliable 30 years and hasn’t needed anything that couldn’t be found on the shelf at AutoZone.

They’re mechanically stout and reliable , it’s not hard to work on, parts (if not available in the US) can be sourced from Europe. Not rust prone at all either. I do imagine that, when you live in the US, it’s harder to keep up than an equal age Toyota though.
